Music:
God has uniquely created us to express ourselves in song. While all of creation joins in symphony to proclaim the wonder of the Creator, only people (created in His image) can put music and words together to sing His praises. Throughout the Scripture we are encouraged to sing to Him and to each other.
(Psalm 47:6, 1 Chronicles 16:9, 1Corinthians 14:15, Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:6, etc.)
Prayer:
Prayer is a special opportunity we have to communicate our desires and our praises to the Lord. In each gathering you will have the opportunity to pray and/or to be prayed for by one of our pastors. We recognize that prayer is an integral part of the life of every believer.
Offering:
During the worship service, we will collect an offering. This is a time for members to worship through their giving to fund the ministries and operation of the church as well as local, regional, and international missions. Our guests are not expected to give. You will, however, find a Connection Card in your worship bulletin or in a pocket on the seat in front of you. If you would like to fill this card out so that we can say hi, you can place it in the basket as it goes by or trade it for a gift at the end of the service in the Welcome Center. A pastor will be there to greet you and to answer any questions you may have.
Preaching:
We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and that God's chosen method for proclaiming His Word is through preaching. In every worship gathering you will hear the Word of God preached clearly and without apology. Our hope is that the hearing of the Word will lead to life change.
"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT
Invitation:
In each service, following the preaching of the Word, you will have an opportunity to respond to what you have heard. There will be pastors and counselors available to help you with any decision you may need to make or to simply pray with you.
