Adult Bible Classes
Sundays at 9:30am
Discipleship is a pathway to becoming Christlike that requires intentionality.
Often times when the word discipleship comes up, we envision Sunday School or learning complex theological frameworks. But that's not how the Bible talks about it. Being a follower of Jesus is more than a one time decision, reading the Bible, and learning a system of ethics. When Jesus invited people to follow him, He challenged them to a daily rhythm of obedience. "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." (Luke 9:23)
Discipleship is not a program, but a pathway. A daily process of being transformed into the likeness of God (Philippians 1:6). But, as with any process, if we're not intentional, then we'll drift towards ambivalence. So the question is, are the rhythms of our lives leading us to Christlikeness or worldliness?
If we want to be in rhythm with Jesus, then we need to abide in Him (John 15:5). No amount of legalism or ritual obedience will change us. Only the drumbeat of the Gospel can get us into the right rhythms of discipleship: Gather Together, Grow Together, Give Together, and Go Together.
Every Sunday at 9:30am, we focus on these 4 rhythms through intentional bible study and personal accountability. These classes are ongoing. So feel free to jump in at anytime. Come discover how you can grow in Christlikeness and follow Him on the Disciple's Path.
